Artist's Bio

I grew up in Northern California. I first became interested in art when my brother and sister introduced me to cartoons and animated films. I was enthralled by the films. I loved the color, the characters, the settings and the lore. Compelling me to engage a natural talent in drawing, these films inspired me to recreate the characters, scenes, shapes, and colors. Soon I started imagining surrealistic things on my mind. Then, I design original backgrounds and landscapes for the stories.

 

My high school art teacher introduced me to painting and taught me how to effectively use the brush to create a desired effect. Soon I was creating in paint, ink, clay and other new, exciting mediums. Art became a passion for me and impacted my life in dramatic ways. I started to share my creations with my friends, family and community. As my confidence developed, I entered several contests and won the yearbook cover in my senior year of high school. Thanks to my high school art teacher who introduced me to the power of new art materials and techniques, art is my biggest passion.
